Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath said the Government’s decision on FDI in retail is just an executive matter and does not require Parliament’s approval. It is true that Parliament is primarily a law making body where discussions happen over bills and laws.
Decision on FDI is neither a bill or a law, and it is the prerogative of the government(executive) to take its own decisions which they feel good for the country. There can be discussion on it – but not inside the parliament. It is a shame to cause disruptions in Parliament over the same. Do you agree?
