The continuous defeat of Indian Cricket Team in foreign soil, starting with England(4-0) and now with Australia(3-0) is raising huge debate among cricket fans and experts. The major cry now is for the heads of seniors, and the predominant voice is that the process of dropping seniors should start from Laxman. It is true that Laxman has not performed well to justify his position in Indian Team during 2011-2012 season, but neither his position nor his contributions to the team are easily forgettable. Known for his classy style of batting and the historic 284, which won India a follow-on match against Austraila, Laxman deserves a much respectful farewell for sure. And the other major question will be regarding the right replacement for Laxman. Who will fill the gap of this veteran? Can Rohit Sharma’s talent help India win tests in foreign soils?
